The project
The goal of this project is to develop The MAASC, a half-mask powered by an air-purifying respirator, with hardware designed by AirBliss and software support and machine learning models from Sentigrate. Zephyr aims to enhance worker safety in harsh environments by integrating advanced filtration and fatigue detection features. The mask will utilize AI to monitor fatigue and provide real-time alerts, helping to reduce accidents, boost productivity, and create safer workplaces overall.
The project was created to address the growing need for better worker safety in dangerous environments like mining and manufacturing. Fatigue is one of the leading cause of accidents in these industries, but traditional safety equipment doesn’t do enough to prevent this. Maasc aims to address that by combining a high-tech air-purifying mask with smart technology that monitors workers’ fatigue in real-time. This project, a collaboration between AirBliss+ and Sentigrate, blends advanced hardware with powerful software to help keep workers safe by not only protecting them from harmful particles but also by alerting them before they become too tired to work safely.
