SOVN tackles teeth grinding & clenching by targeting these sleep disruptions and improving one’s sleep in three steps: First, their advanced sensor technology and algorithms detect sleep disruptions in real-time; second, the earbuds create gentle, soothing vibrations to stop jaw movements without waking you; and third, in-app insights and guidance drive behaviour changes to maintain your healthy sleep.
The project
SOVN is a smart night guard that helps you relax your jaw whenever you clench or grind your teeth. Unlike traditional mouth guards, SOVN is a smart wearable that monitors your jaw movement from the ear and interrupts the grinding/clenching as soon as it starts with soothing vibrations.
Sentigrate supports Sovn on two fronts. We are responsible for streaming the data from the earbuds over the smartphone to the cloud. Secondly, Sentigrate is building the detection algorithm that is running on the smartphone, taking the limits of the hardware into account.
