The FoG project is subsidised by the province of Flemish Brabant, and aims to improve the quality of life of Parkinson’s patients by reducing motor freezing symptom frequency.

The project

FoG episodes prevent Parkinson’s patients from moving freely as desired, often at the worst times. If detected, or even predicted, these episodes can be averted by exposing the patient to specific cues.

Sentigrate works together with KU Leuven to develop a first-of-its-kind predictive algorithm for FoG episodes, based on wearable EEG data. Additionally, Sentigrate aims to create a proof-of-concept (POC) solution to cue FoG patients, improving their autonomy.
